The ASEAN IPR SME Helpdesk will be officially launched in Brussels, April 2013 and will last until August 2014. Co-funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP), the project supports European Union (EU) Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) to both protect and enforce their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in or relating to the ten countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The Helpdesk will provide EU SMEs with free information and services in the form of jargon-free, first-line, confidential advice on intellectual property and related issues, plus training, materials and online resources. The ASEAN IPR SME Helpdesk’s Annual Work Plan will be presented to project stakeholders at the launch and describe the tailored services which will benefit European SMEs in 2013.
