22 May Webinar – “Innovation in China and South-East Asia: How to Protect your Critical Know-how”

The webinar provided practical IP advice for European SMEs wishing to do business and develop technology in China and South-East Asia. Our IPR SME Helpdesk expert Mr. Philippe Deltombe gave the SMEs  a comprehensive overview on basic IP protection relating to innovation in China and South-East Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia in particular). SMEs received some tips on how to draft best strategies for IP protection especially tailored for the R&D sector in both China and South-East Asia. The IPR expert used several case-studies involving European SMEs to illustrate both challenges in IP protection  and best practice in both China and South-East Asia.

IPR Protection in Cambodia: IPR Licensing and Franchising

In line with recent developments in the rest of the region, Cambodia has become a prime destination for European SME's to expand their businesses to. This gives all the more reason for them to protect their intellectual property rights in an often unfamiliar environment.
