Intellectual Property Protection Strategies in Singapore for European SMEs
Webinar, 14 August 2013
With trade of over €46 billion of goods between Singapore and the EU in 2011, Singapore is by far the EU’s largest trading partner in the entire ASEAN region. Singapore also boasts a comprehensive intellectual property legal framework which is viewed as one of the most sound IP systems in the region, and increasingly it is being seen as an attractive springboard for European companies to expand into the Southeast Asian markets.
However, there are still several areas where IP enforcement differs from European systems or is still in need of reform, for example the lack of a customs registration process to check shipments entering and leaving the ports, and it is essential for European businesses to take steps to protect their rights when operating in the country.
During this webinar ASEAN IPR SME Helpdesk expert Joyce Ang will provide you with key, practical information on how to conduct business in/with Singapore. To learn more about this webinar and to register, click here.
